Signature HealthCARE is a healthcare and rehabilitation company with 125 locations in 11 states and nearly 22,000 employees. A growing number of Signature centers are earning five-star ratings from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. In 2013, the company was named one of Modern Healthcare’s ‘Best Places to Work’ for the third time.
Signature’s organizational culture is founded on three pillars: Learning, Spirituality, and Intra-preneurship.
THE FOUNDATION OF SUCCESS
Signature HealthCARE (SHC) was founded in 2007 with a vision to radically change the landscape of healthcare forever. But SHC leaders spent years before laying the groundwork…
The team came together in 1999 under Signature predecessor Home Quality Management, Inc. The same year, nearly all of the nation’s nursing homes filed bankruptcy due to certain legislation that was enacted.
HQM pressed on and sowed the seeds for a healthcare revolution. By 2006, the company had launched its Spirituality and Quality of Life programs, including the Hall of Fame Café, which honors residents for their extraordinary achievements.
The following year, HQM launched its Learning pillar as a means to extend educational opportunities to its employees in the field. The same year, Joe Steier partnered with the ARBA Group and HQM became Signature HealthCARE.
In 2010, Signature relocated its corporate headquarters from Palm Beach Gardens, Florida to Louisville, Kentucky – home to many leaders in the healthcare industry.
As of 2014, Signature has continued to expand and now has 126 locations in ten states, with nearly 20,000 employees. Affiliate companies, new programs and community outreach have continued to grow.
